    • Date of Birth: 26 August, 1956
    • Educational Qualifications : B. Com, MBA, M.A. (Public Administration), LL.B., M.Sc. (National Development & Project Planning) and LL.M.
    • Thesis on “Critique on provisions in the Companies Act,1956 for Prevention of Oppression and Mismanagement” was written as a part of Master of Law.
    • Thesis on “Critique on New Economic Policy” was written as a part of M.Sc. in National Development & Project Planning.

    He joined State Bank of India in 1978 as Probationary Officer and in 1981 in Indian Audit and Accounts Service.

    He has worked in UP (Kanpur, Allahabad), Chandigarh, J&K, Mumbai, Delhi etc. and also been to UK /Oman/ Ethiopia etc. for International Assignments.

    He has mostly been associated with Commercial & Taxation group of CAG of India and has been instrumental in writing /supervision of about 70 reports of CAG of India.

    Before joining National Company Law Appellate Tribunal on 01.07.2016, he was working as Deputy Comptroller & Auditor General of India.

    Experience:
    • Chaired the Committee for preparation of theme paper on ‘Strengthening Public Financial Reporting’ during Accountants General Conference, 2012.
    • Worked as a Member of Government of India appointed Committee for revision in List of Major and Minor Head of Accounts for better financial reporting.
    • As a Member of Audit Committee in State Corporations (Oman LNG and Qahalt LNG) of Sultanate of Oman, he associated with development of:
      • Delegation of powers
      • Risk Management
    • Worked as a member of the Committee constituted by CAG of India for recasting Chapter-1 of the Audit Report (Commercial) and for laying down standard format for annual accounts of the Universities/Educational Institutions.
    • Ministry of Oil and Gas, Sultanate of Oman commended for outstanding efforts, complete dedication and positive contribution to the business entrusted to him as Financial Expert and formally acknowledged his contribution in saving of US $ 21 million.
    • He is also life member of:
      • Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi
      • Institute of Public Auditors of India, New Delhi
    • Chief Justice of High Court of J&K appreciated his efforts to promote accountability in public administration in the State during his tenure of Accountant General (Audit), J&K.
